A righteous man was lost from the land.
The people of Israel today lost the late Rabbi Moshe Levinger, who was one of the leaders of settlement in the Land of Israel and in the ancestral city of Hebron in particular. Only the symbols of his burial day will be on the day the city is liberated.
Rabbi Levinger worked for settlement in all parts of our country without compromise while maintaining unconditional love for the people of Israel. For many years I learned from Rabbi Levinger what a public mission is and its loss is a loss to the entire people of Israel.
